Indications
- Septic shock (first-line)
- Post-arrest hypotension
- Cardiogenic shock with hypotension
Contraindications & cautions
- Uncorrected hypovolemia (relative)
Key pearls
- Peripheral administration is acceptable short-term through a good proximal IV
- Extravasation → phentolamine
